Love Volkova, D.O.

Dr. Volkova attended Western University of Health Sciences/ College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and quickly discovered her love for understanding nature and engaging health in Osteopathy. She had the honor of learning from giants of osteopathy such as Dr. Viola Frymann, Dr. James Jealous, and her mentor, Dr. Eve Berman.

Dr. Volkova was initially drawn to Emergency Medicine after her medical school rotations and desire to experience a wide array of pathology and acuity in the Emergency Department. Over a decade of practice in Emergency Medicine has given her broad medical experience and an opportunity to understand the shortcomings of western medicine when not balanced with health and prevention.

Traditional Osteopathy has been, since her days in medical school, the anchor that kept her grounded on the ultimate goal of healthcare. She is thrilled to be an active part of the community by offering her service, and hopes to inspire and educate those around her about this timeless art and profession of Osteopathy.

Dr. Volkova was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine and moved to the U.S. in middle school. She spent her high school and college years in New Jersey, and returned to the NorthEast (Rhode Island) for her post-graduate residency after her time in California for medical school.

She had a strong pull to Hawaii since visiting in college, and moved to the islands in 2015 after finishing her residency. She fell in love with Hawaii’s beautiful culture, nature- and ocean-centered lifestyle, and warm and open people.

She lives with her family on Oahu, Hawaii and is grateful to be surrounded by the ocean, where she feels most at home. She enjoys paddling OC6 canoe, snorkeling, spending quiet time in the forest, and not-so-quiet time at home with her family.
